Vision & Goals

Vision:

(Jan. 16, 2001 revision)

A comprehensive, seamless delivery system whereby individuals within the state have a single, easy-to-use phone number to obtain information and referrals on health and human services.

Goals:

  • To collaboratively work with and include information and referral providers and social service agencies across the State of Oregon to ensure consumer access through the easily accessible 211 designation approved by the Federal Communications Commission.
  • To ensure identification and inclusion of all invested agencies and services in Or211 planning and implementation processes.
  • To identify and be sensitive to potential conflicts, with an understanding of the importance of the work and services that all agencies provide.
  • To consider all possible funding sources available without any possible restrictions affecting "the vision."
  • To investigate existing and developing 211 models to learn and ascertain a "best-fit" scenario.
  • To collect and present statistics collectively to validate the need for such a service.
  • To form a collaboration with a distinct mission, goals and measurable outcomes and be willing to establish various committees to obtain such.
